Heading Off soon.

Hello all,
Well it sure haven't updated this page in a long time...sorry for my tardiness. Lets see where to start...I'm leaving on the 9th

of January for Calgary and then I have a few stops here and there before I finally reach Brisbane. I'll have a few days before I take what is called my Certificate 4 in discipleship. The class goes for a few weeks and then in Febuary the 2007 Beach to Bush school (check out more about B2B school at www.beachtobush.com ). So it's going to be a pretty exciting, hard learning experience for me, but I'm ready for the challange that God has called me to. A few things that you all can be praying for before I leave is that God would continue to prepare me, that I would be open to what he wants me to do for him as I'm still here in Saskatoon, and that financial support would continue to come in. Thanks so much every one for you're support and I'll make sure to update this lovely blog alot more than I have been in these past few months. Love, peace and prayer, Maegan

coming home!

Times Up....I leave tomorrow for home and I have to leave this (up) behind. Australia has been good for me and I can't say enough about how I much I learned and lived. God has been so good.
I'm flying solo tomorrow and know that God is protecting me. It's gonna be good and yeah I can't wait to be home. I'd like to thank everyone again for all the prayers and everything support you name it, that I've gotten while being out here. I can't wait to see all of your faces and hear what has been going on at home. Maybe I'll be able to tell a few stories here or there. Thanks again so much and I'll see ya all after some very long flights.

At the Footy Match

Well this is a bit of an older picture that I didn't even take, however I thought I would yoink it and show you guys how much fun it was. Here I am eating a wonderful hot dog which cost me a good fortune and Lisa is the one to the left and then Jolleen, Karli and then Jason is drinking his gatorade. It was a fun filled day with lots of short shorts. Wow let me tell you they are short....
Now to the more recent...we've just come back from being on the road for approx. 2 weeks. It's been a blast from going to Stardbrooke Island where we had our survivor week (let me tell you it was really survivorish. Ask my mom about it) and then we went to a property outside of brisbane that we worked on for about 3 or 4 days. This was interesting because I got to cook for over 40 people the whole week. Intense let me tell you, but all very fun.
Then we were off to Hervey bay where we did a little bit of outreach in the schools and some work for a youth centre. We painted walls and it was lots of fun later I'll post a picture of our work. Then just this past saturday I was able to go to Fraser Island and it was really good! My family and I had been there once before camping so it was really neat to go back and see things and also see some new sites! rather exciting and let me say that the driving was crazy. we may or may not have gotten a flat tire and done some damage so we'll see how that works out. Good day tho forsure. Now we are back on base for the next three weeks and it should be wonderful so if you feel the need drop me an e-mail because I would be more than happy to recieve it.
Later dudes, Maegan

Crazy! God is good!

Well lets see....what can I tell you all...I love australia!!! and Dts. mmm if you ever get the chance no matter how old or young you are, you should do a dts. It's wonderful. hmmm so lets see I don't have too much to report back...actually I do. Last night we went in to Brisbane and did some evagelism work and it was wonderful. Shandise and myself ended up starting a conversation with this man named Yo (well his name was longer but we called him Yo for short). It was really amazing cause we were just picking up garbage and we started to talk to him. Wow God works in pretty amazing ways. So anyway we talked to him for an hour or so and just were straight up with him... he is from Isreal, but decided that he was an athiest. So he was very smart and wanting to make us think, but it ended up that we made him think. Glory goes all to God tho. So yeah if you guys get the chance send a prayer up for him that would make him think even more about the conversation that happened last night. yep so that was pretty neat. hmmm well I should get going have a wonderful day everyone and God bless.

It's been awhile...

okay so sorry guys that I haven't posted sooner. I tend to get pretty busy pretty quick. BUT, here I am posting yet another one.
Life is going really good. God has been teaching me some rather interesting things about faith, trusting in him, relationship stuff...(fun fun), and tons more. Basically tho I've come to a point where I just don't want to give half of myself to him, but the whole package. So that's what I'm working on.
We got back from our month of outreach about a week ago, which went wonderful. we had our up and down times but we did what we could. Sometimes I feel like we should have worked harder, but that's all up to the Lord now. We did such things as God's heart for the Nations (amazing week), the Easter feastival/parade in Roma, a evangelism night in Emerald where we just handed out flyers to people for free food and some entertainment, and just helping out local churches and pastors. It was a good month, but hopefully we'll strive to do so much more in the coming up trips. So...we leave the base in less than a week (so we leave monday the 15th) and we're off to Stratbrooke Island (spelling could be wrong). We'll be there for a week of lectures and then off to some other little towns along the coast for another week. It'll be really fun cause we get to camp out on the beach!!! haha like old times. So if you think of praying for anything pray for safety and more revelations and break through with God. It should be wonderful.
Well I think that's enough for now...until next time.
signing off,
Maegan

Pirate day!

Hey everyone, well today is pirate day and yep you guessed it I'm dressed as a pirate. Got my bandana and the waist sash and then nice dangly earings hehe. Well I thought I would let you guyes all know that things are going wonderful. God has been teaching me tons...like how to be a true child of God, how to be completely committed to him and much more. It's an on going process which I am greatly happy for even tho sometimes it sucks and isn't fun.
Lets see what else can I tell all of you. Hmm last week we went to a place called mount tamborine it was a wonderful place where we were able to serve. There was a missions conference that went on from friday to sunday afternoon and we just basically set up everything and cleaned. we were also able to go the sessions that they had and I deffinately went to "Single in the middle east" don't ask me why but we did. It was pretty sweet. lol. I don't really plan on being single in the middle east but I guess that's up to God to decide. Well this is turning in to a random blog as usual and hopefully I'll have pictures posted on here by the end of the day. Love you all greatly.

Well I guess it times!

Well hi Guys! Thought I would update you on how things are going....well God has taught me a lot already. I'm learning to hear God's voice and Obey. It's not the easiest task in the world, but I'm try to faithfully trust him and obey. Trust and Obey for there's no other way to be trusting in Jesus, but to trust and Obey. (music interlude). Wow had to get that out. Yep so things are going wonderful. I've met some pretty cool people and they are all pretty encouraging. I miss you all tons and if you ever get the time send up a prayer for this little chick you should! Yep but I should get going hmmm post some comments and questions and I'll answer them cause I'd love to. I never know what to write so if you let me know then I'll answer. Love you all,
Maegan

Coming up Quick!

Soon it will be time for me to leave the prairy grass behind me, hop on a plane and start singing....I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when i'll be back again....Alright so I'll be back in the fall, but really, I've been starting to evaluate the time I've spent here at home and the good and bad things that I've done with my time. It's a big list and pretty sure there are things i would like to continue or wish I could do before I leave, however the time has come where I must soon say good bye. I can only hope that I was a good friend and daughter. But most importantly be confident that God used me and had a reason for the things that went on in the 5 months of work prior to leaving. I pray that I was an influence to the people around me and that even tho it wasn't all the time that God's love was shown through me...

Yep it's all about the Pot

No....not the that kind of pot...but yes Clay and pots. So the other day in my bible reading I came across another little jem in Jeremiah it goes something like this....

The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said. "Go down to the shope where clay pots are made. I will speak to you while you are there." So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar je was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so the potter squashed the jar into a lump of clay and started again.
Then the Lord gave me this message: "O Isreal, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand.

Well ya see the same is true for me....I guess I'm clay and God is gonna put me on his wheel and shape me. Which should be wonderful, not always easy cause this clay might not always work with God. But I know that he will shape me as he wants me to be and that's the cool thing about it. Just something neat to think about....

Two thumbs way up

so... earlier this evening, Tamarah and myself went to the movie Pride & Prejudice. mmm wow. It was spectacular if you ever want a really good chick flick that is very clean, choose this one. Amazing and very romantic. It was super. Well I think I could go on about this movie for a long time but it would just end up being run on sentences of words like fantastics, spectacular, etc. So i leave you with this ladies....Mr. Darcy....watch it and you'll fall in love.

A distracted mind

First off I'd just like to show this really wicked awesome picture of me bench stomping....yeah we made it up...but it's a really good hobby, you all should look in to it. The picture on my right would be of new years eve when Tamarah and I decided that we should try and kill the bench...for random reasons that are to not be explained....So we proceeded to stomp
on the bench. whew.. now that I've got that out of my system....

The title of the day is distracted mind...for the obvious reason that my mind is occupied with things such as....wait for it...Australia! I'm finding myself staying up to ridiculous hours of the night thinking of all the things I have to do or am going to forget. It gets pretty intense and I can't ever fall alseep. I'm not freaking out or anything, my mind just won't shut off. I send a quick prayer up and it seems to work for the moment and then I just keep on thinking....so here is the deal if anyone has any tips or things that I should know/remember for when I'm traveling or what I should bring leave me a note and then I can write all of your ideas down...hopefully that will help...
feel free to leave one even if it's a funny tip I always like those too.

We have a Cd cover pic now all we need is a band!

Yeah that's right pretty sure we look really good there...anyway that's really not what I want to blog about today....rather I would like to share a little bit about what I read the other day...it goes something like this.

The Lord gave me a message. He said, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokes[woman] to the world."
"O sovereign Lord," I said, "I can't speak for you! I'm too young!"
"Don't say that," the Lord replied, "for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the Lord, have spoken....You are to build others up and plant them....Get up and get dressed. Go out and tell them whatever I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them. For see today I have made you immune to there attacks. You are strong like a fortified city that connot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall."
Jeremiah 1:4-8, 10b, 17 & 18

I read this last night and it was basically how I felt. God is telling me to go and speak on behalf of him...there for I have to go. And even if it seems like I'm to young, (which I'm only 19) it doesn't matter cause God says so. He will be with me and help me. So I found it kind of neat that I read this. However, I think we are all called to be spokesmen/woman of God, just called to a different place....I dunno...think about it and tell me what you think...

Australia here I Come!

Alright....so I had a little more time to edit this one and get some more stuff in it. Alright so most of you probably know, but this girl is leaving for the beautiful country of Australia on Feb 19th 2006. Yes! I'm very excited and can't wait to start my beach to bush DTS with YWAM. Basically taking a dts is like going to bible school except a little more focused on evangalism and missions work. So it will be so grand an I'll get to share Jesus with many people....pretty sure there isn't anything more exciting than that.
Well as it gets closer to the date...now only a month eexactly...I find myself completely thinking about things that i need to bring, do, or remember and it gets kind of crazy. But I know God will make everything run smoothly and even if it doesn't that's alright too. I know I've said it more than one before, but if any of you get the chance send a prayer up for me. Thanks it means alot. :)
